ORBIS Atelier — Connecting design, production and client relationships

The challenge

ORBIS Atelier is a fictional company, created by CRELIVO to demonstrate its approach to operational automation. No real client is involved. In bespoke fabrication, requests, drawings, deadlines and client conversations are often scattered across emails, files and disconnected tools. The result: incomplete briefs, information lost between design and the workshop, and clients who don't know where their project stands.

The approach

Product strategy and UX: map the full journey — request, review, design, production, installation, delivery — then tie each step to data, an owner and a deliverable. Art direction that is more tactile and architectural than luxurious: charcoal, warm ivory, brushed steel, mineral grey, with deep green and copper accents. An editorial serif, a precise grotesque and a technical monospace. Original visuals drawn in code: dimensioned axonometrics, 1:50 sections, wood, stone, metal, textile and glass textures. Restrained motion: drawn plan lines, stage progress, discreet reveals — disabled when users prefer reduced motion.

The solution

— Bilingual FR/EN showcase site: home, craft (five settings), four-step process, filterable materials library. — Five-step project configurator: space type, elements, dimensions, finish, budget, schedule, drawings, contact details. — Indicative range calculator, clearly non-binding, flagging when the stated budget looks insufficient. — Secure file upload: formats checked on actual file content, limited size and count, storage outside the public site. — Automatic creation of a lead and a draft project, with alerts when information is missing. — Production dashboard by stage: request received, review, design, production, installation, delivered. — Guardrailed internal AI assistant: brief summary, needs extraction, project checklist and materials search. It reminds users that it does not replace validation by a project manager or technician. — Demonstration client space, with no real personal data. — Accessibility (keyboard, contrast, announced errors), fully responsive, technical SEO.

The results

Qualitative benefits — demonstration, no measured data: — A more structured request journey. — Better visibility over project stages. — Simpler collaboration between client, design and production. — Better-centralised brief information. — A scalable foundation for smoother operational management. Deliverables: product strategy, UX/UI, art direction, showcase site, project configurator, materials library, operations dashboard, CRM automation, internal AI assistant, demonstration client space.
